PLANT SALES
Madeleine Sadler is organising our plant table. Plants are sold at every meeting in aid of our funds, so please support Madeleine by bringing along your spare plants and seeds correctly labelled please. Books and other surplus gardening sundries can also be sold.

PLANT FAIR REPORT
Another successful Plant Fair was held in 2009, although takings were about 10% down, mainly due to less stalls The next plant fair will be on  25th April 2010 from10am to 4pm. Please start growing plants for the Tombola early; growing new plants from your spare perennial divisions in autumn!!.

MEMBERS  PHOTOS

A change of format this year. Can you please bring along up to 5 photographs illustrating ‘Autumn Colour’ to the October or November meeting and we will make them into a presentation for the Christmas Social.  Pictures may be taken anywhere, but should not be more than two years old.

COMMITTEE CHANGES
Following this year’s AGM the only change is the departure of Brian Henn, after long service as treasurer and committee member. Thank you Brian.

MEETING ROTA

The meeting rota was reasonably successful last year but we need more of our members to take on several of the tasks essential for meetings to run smoothly. We would like members to:-

1.    Volunteer as greeters who will chat to visiting or new members, joining us for the first time.
2.    To sell raffle tickets, we will still provide the prizes.
3.    To help sell the plants on the plant stall, we will still provide plants.
4.    Help make coffee and tea, guidance and provisions will be provided.
5.    Offer accommodation. Once or twice a year the committee need to accommodate visiting speakers. If you can help this would spread the load. Please speak to our Programme Secretary, Liz Thomas if you can help.

At each meeting the rota is placed on the table next to the signing in book Please do not ignore it, but fill in your names where you can help.  Many thanks
